Why is Tom Delonge and his band Angels & Airwaves So Underrated???
Angels & Airwaves were founded in 2005 just after Blink-182 split up. Tom Delonge wanted to start his own band and wanted to do something positive and aspirational.

The band was formed up of Tom Delonge - David Kennedy - Atom Willard - Matt Watcher from 2005 til 2011. A year later the band line up changed and Atom Willard left the band, and they brought in Ilan Rubin.

In 2006 there first album was released "We Don't Need To Whisper". This album was very refreshing and was something completely different from most albums that are out there today. Here is one of there songs "The Adventure".
When Tom Delonge started the band he knew that he wanted to do something that was completely different from what he has done before, and he didn't want Angels & Airwaves to just be a band, he wanted it to be an art project that incorporated different mediums, from films to novels.

"We Don't Need To Whisper" tackled a lot of human themes, such as love and new adventures.
This was the album that changed my life.

In 2007 they released the second part of this album "I-Empire". Here is one of the songs "Everything's Magic".
Now it's 2011 and they release a double album called "Love" and release a feature film a long side it. The feature film was released in 2011 and won many awards at film festivals.

The film is an art house film and was created on a very small budget for feature length film. It is one of my favourite films and tells a very interesting story.

"Love" the feature film is about an astronaut that is stranded on a space station alone. It is very original and has a lot of deep messages that really make you think about the world and the people you love. .
All of there albums started to sound the same at this point, I still love them and completely love the spacey sound that they went for, but I was ready for a change. And that is exactly what they did.

In 2014 they release a new album "The Dream Walker" under Tom Delonge's new company "To The Stars". This album was completely different in every way. The style of writing was different and the sound of the band had completely changed. And I fell in love with Angels & Airwaves all over again. Along side The Dream Walker album they released an animated short film, and a comic book series called "Poet Anderson - The Dream Walker". Poet Anderson is a multimedia franchise created by Tom Delonge and other artists under his company To The Stars.

Poet Anderson is about lucid dreaming. There are two worlds, the dream world and the waking world. Most people aren't aware that they are dreaming when they are a sleep, but those who know that they are, are able to change what happens in the dream world, and they are called poets. A poet is a lucid dreamer and they protect the lost and helpless in the dream world from night terrors. A night terror is a beast that wants to escape into the waking world, they are controlled by a villain called REM. Who wants to control everything and get rid of the Poets.
So considering the enormity of what Tom Delonge and Angels & Airwaves are doing, I still have no Idea why they are so underrated and aren't as well known as they deserve to be.
Tom Delonge is trying to do something that most people could only dream of being able to do. I love and support everything that he does from music, to films, to the novels he's writing. I hope he gets the recognition that he deserves.
